Today the kids were at the park playing. Mckayla went down the slide with Easton on her lap. When they got to the bottom, Easton was crying and physically shaking in pain (poor guy). We noticed he wouldn't stand on his left foot and he wouldn't get down to play. Easton is a very tough kid (at one of his immunizations he didn't even cry...they stuck him with 3 needles and he just looked at them!) so when he won't bear weight or something is stopping him from playing, you know there is something wrong.
We took him to Primarys and left later with a nice big splint on his leg. He fractured his tibia...they called it a toddler fracture (since its the most common fx that toddlers get). We get to go back on Wednesday for a cast. In the meantime Easton can't put any weight on his leg. Man he is gonna be a ticked off kid for the next few days!
(I guess if anything positive can come from this its that I am gonna be building some nice muscles in my arms from carrying a 30# kid around + splint ;))
